We provide outpatient psychiatric care for adults and minors, including medication management and psychotherapy. Our approach is relationship-first and clinically grounded, with care shaped around the individual—not a template.
Obsidian Psychiatry is a good fit for adults and children who want thoughtful, one-on-one psychiatric care, prefer a calm and collaborative approach, value clear communication and shared decision-making, and are seeking support for mood, anxiety, attention, or life-transition concerns.
We commonly support adults and children experiencing anxiety and panic symptoms, depression and mood changes, ADHD, and stress, burnout, or life transitions.
If you’re unsure whether your concerns fall within our scope, we’re happy to help clarify before you schedule.
We offer both psychotherapy and medication management. Some patients engage in one, others in a combination—care is tailored to what’s clinically appropriate and aligned with your goals.
We provide psychiatric care for both children and adults. Care is always tailored to developmental stage, family context, and individual needs.
For children and adolescents, parents or guardians are involved in the intake process and treatment planning. As appropriate, care also includes direct time with the child to ensure treatment feels respectful and supportive.
Your initial visit is a comprehensive intake focused on understanding you—your history, current concerns, and what’s bringing you in now. There’s time for questions, discussion, and clarity around next steps. Our goal is for you to leave feeling oriented and supported, not overwhelmed.
Initial appointments are longer to allow for a full assessment. Follow-up visits are structured but unhurried, with enough time to check in meaningfully and adjust care as needed.
Yes, when clinically appropriate. Medication decisions are made collaboratively and reviewed regularly. Not every patient needs medication, and medication is never the only option discussed.
In some cases, yes. Prescribing decisions are individualized and may include additional guidelines, monitoring, or coordination with other providers.
Yes. With your permission, we’re happy to coordinate care with other providers, therapists, or schools to support continuity and alignment.
No. We do not provide crisis care, emergency services, or treatment for high-acuity psychiatric conditions.
